Racket duels alternate receiving and responding, changing available time through placement, spin and player position.

## At a glance

1. The player times the serving stroke

- Connect shot accuracy to timing, position and chosen direction.

## How it works

Racket duels alternate receiving and responding, changing available time through placement, spin and player position.

## Variants

### Mechanic variants

- Shot power reduces response time.
- Spin changes the post-contact bounce.
- Drop shots punish a distant position.
- Recovery prepares the player for the next return.

## Design example

A strong shot pushes an opponent back and a following drop shot forces a run toward the net.

Prototype check: Test bounce-point readability and command timing, especially early input for the next shot.

## Context and limits

Sports mechanics connect execution precision to space, participant state and understandable scoring conditions. Each overview separates player actions, state changes and alternative rules. Examples are hypothetical design scenarios, not claims about a named game. A prototype check states an observable question for the next iteration. Existing detailed references remain separately linked from the direction map.
