1. Select a subquest that fits the planned hunt

- Connect short contracts to the player’s longer-term goals.

## How it works

Short assignments refresh targets within a familiar action set. Rewards connect individual expeditions to a long-term goal.

## Variants

### Action → reward

<a id="repeatable-contracts-loop"></a>

- Complete repeatable tasks with different targets → earn money, experience and materials. <a id="repeatable-contracts-repeat"></a>
- Choose a contract by desired material or enemy. <a id="repeatable-contracts-option-2"></a>
- Combine compatible contracts into one route. <a id="repeatable-contracts-option-3"></a>

## Design example

A bounty board offers hunts for different monster types, letting the player choose the reward they need.

## Context and limits

A systematic RPG grind reference: 110 mechanics and 330 variants in 18 sections. Four layers answer different questions: what the player repeats, what develops, how rewards arrive and what constrains the loop. It covers single-player RPGs, ARPGs, MMORPGs and adjacent management and accumulation systems. Every mechanic has an explanation, variants and a hypothetical example; coverage, combinations and verified game observations follow the catalog.
