1. Stability and Skills+ bias results towards different properties

- Explain which parts of the outcome pool change and which remain random.

## How it works

The player invests resources or makes a choice to change eligible rewards or their relative weights.

## Variants

### Variants

<a id="loot-pool-focus-options"></a>

- Restrict the table to a chosen item type. <a id="loot-pool-focus-option-1"></a>
- Add a desired category to the table through investment. <a id="loot-pool-focus-option-2"></a>
- Change relative weights at the cost of other outcomes. <a id="loot-pool-focus-option-3"></a>

## Design example

Before a ritual, the hero chooses a weapon school, narrowing rewards to that type.

## Context and limits

A systematic RPG grind reference: 110 mechanics and 330 variants in 18 sections. Four layers answer different questions: what the player repeats, what develops, how rewards arrive and what constrains the loop. It covers single-player RPGs, ARPGs, MMORPGs and adjacent management and accumulation systems. Every mechanic has an explanation, variants and a hypothetical example; coverage, combinations and verified game observations follow the catalog.
