2. The court record remains available during testimony

- Accept a justified alternative when it fits the evidence.

## How it works

Players connect a conclusion to evidence and a rule explaining that connection.

## Variants

### Variants

- Match a claim to a supporting observation
- Select evidence that distinguishes two explanations
- Add a rule connecting evidence to a conclusion
- Remove irrelevant supporting evidence
- Identify an assumption in an argument chain
- Extend an argument with a response to an objection
- Qualify a conclusion when evidence is insufficient
- Revise a position after a new observation

## Design example

Hypothetical environmental council: justify a site choice using observations and state its limitations.

## Context and limits

A mechanic map for games with explicit learning goals, from first encounters with a topic to professional practice. It covers children, teenagers and adults; choose subject, difficulty, context and controls for the learner. Player actions, subject content, instructional support and assessment are distinct layers. Scores and game completion alone do not establish mastery or skill transfer.
