## How it works

Position, movement, and world events influence the accessibility and perception of conversation.

## Variants

### Variants and applications

- Conversation on the go. Rule: The player retains control of movement and discusses what is happening along the way.
- Hearing range. Rule: The availability of cues depends on the distance, obstacles and position of the participants.
- Selecting a listening position. Rule: The player moves to hear the desired participant or hide from him.
- Eavesdropping. Rule: Information is obtained without entering into a conversation, at the risk of being noticed.
- Distraction by talking. Rule: Conversation keeps the NPC's attention and creates a window for other action.
- Discussion of the object. Rule: Inspection or pointing at an object triggers a thematic remark from the interlocutor.
- Simultaneous activity. Rule: Trade, repairs, cooking or transport management go parallel to the conversation.
- Danger during conversation. Rule: Combat, patrol, or environmental change is ongoing and requires dividing attention.
